Wolf Moon

Hey there,
Tomorrow, January 7, will be a full moon. Since it is January, it is called the Wolf Moon Esbat. It is also called the Cold Moon, however, it's not quite cold where I live.

This is the perfect time to do protective (physical or spiritual) magick for yourself, your family and friends, or your home.

Like last month during the Oak Moon (see earlier post), we want to get closer to the God and Goddess, especially now that the God has been reborn. During this ritual, we will ask for their protection for the rest of the year.

As always, this can be done by yourself or in a group.

Ritual:
You will need:
~An altar set with black, white, & silver candles
~Any and all things used for circle casting
~(Optional) anything needed for your protective spells
~Mead and bread/cake (for yourself and as an offering) & dishes
~You can also have a silver candle for each person.

Best to be done outside in the light of the moon. If it's inside, open a window.

First, cast a circle. Invite the God and Goddess.

Light your silver candle and pray for what you wish to be protected. For a group, whether you're all inside or outside the cast circle, sit or stand in a circle. You should each be holding your silver candles. Go around and pray individually what you want to be protected. The first person should light their candle with a match. When he or she is done, the next person has their candle lit by him or her.

Now is the time to do any protective spells.

When you're finished, thank the God and Goddess for joining you. Uncast the circle.

Leave the offering on the altar while you enjoy the treats for yourself. When you're cleaning, place the offering under a birch or hazel tree.

I hope you all have a wonderful time.
Blessed Be
Alice
